Blog: Digital Gender Gaps Workshop in Oxford

On September 30th to October 1st, the second Digital Gender Gaps workshop took place at Nuffield College, University of Oxford, hosted by Prof. Ridhi Kashyap. From I2SC, Prof. Ingmar Weber and Till Koebe participated as part of the core DGG research group. The open call for papers attracted a large number of submissions, of which approx. 20 were invited to present their work at the workshop on topics ranging from ethical product design over  experimental studies on technology interventions to measuring sub-national gender gaps. I2SC presented their work on modelling global mobile coverage rollout that seeks to serve as a baseline dataset for impact evaluation studies of mobile technologies around the world.
