Blog: Brahmani goes to SICSS at UvA

Last month, I (Brahmani) had the opportunity to attend the Summer Institute in Computational Social Science (SICSS), organised by the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research at the University of Amsterdam. The program commenced with an insightful keynote by Juhi Kulshrestha and concluded with Elisa Omodei’s keynote on ‘Computational methods for Sustainable Development Goals’.

Throughout the two-week event, there were various workshops and collaborative projects, offering a rich environment to connect with researchers across diverse fields within computational social science. As a computer scientist, I particularly appreciated understanding the approaches social science researchers use to tackle similar questions.
